Sara Jungen has completed level 1 training in John Gottman's Method Couple Therapy, and she draws from John Gottman's extensive research on healthy relationships to guide her work with couples. She also offers techniques from Hakomi mindfulness-based therapy.
Sally Powis-Campbell also takes a mindfulness-based approach to couples counselling. Research has suggested that mindfulness in couples therapy is positively correlated to open and honest communication. Learning mindfulness has been shown in studies to be firmly linked to an enriched current relationship, beneficial boosts in optimism, and reduced stress.
